Leak Detector In Microwave Ovens
In this case we're going to head a new article that has nothing to do with the tv but it is very important especially if technicians are dedicated to this.
In this case we will discuss how to detect microwave leakage, but first let's make a brief introduction:
The microwave oven bases its operation on a device called "magnetron" high-frequency waves (2,450 Mega Hertz) it generates, are issued by a small antenna that sends it into the oven know that at the beginning of cooking used in this system, for different reasons microwave leakage may occur and that this constitutes a risk of injury to the user.
For this reason, we propose here, a leak tester project in microwave ovens, which will help us determine if the waves are going to the outside of the team.
Microwave Leak Testing
Any body that receives the microwave tends to heat by friction of its particles, so that if they come to escape from the cavity and reach any part of our body, we suffer burns ranging from very mild to the third degree. It is therefore important that we fix a long microwave, we are sure you do not have any leaks, otherwise, we present the integrity of the user.
It is absolutely necessary that this be done, whenever service is provided to those teams. Be especially careful if the door is falling or has a very noticeable rocking motion, especially when he discovers that there are points in the cavity that have faded (within, no part of the blade should be without his coat special paint, because it prevents the microwaves bounce to pre designated sites do not). If this happens, the magnetron may suffer overheating, and if points were to be punctured faded, the microwaves will come around. Of course this is very noticeable and easy to identify because when the spark plugs will be marked at the place where paint is missing.
The small grid or mesh that is on the inside of the door of any microwave oven, allows light to enter and prevents the radiation leaving the cavity, ie, works as a "catch waves". The incident light is no problem, because its wavelength is very small, but as the microwave is higher, they must be retained in some way, hence it has incorporated the "catch waves" metallic
Precautions during the service and device use
For the safety of the user's own computer and it is very important to point out the following:
1. Never bypass or remove the interlocks located next to the door, because these safety devices prevent equipment running when the compartment is opened
2. Once you have uncovered the computer to test it, stay away from the magnetron at least 30 cm. Remember that although it is shielded, you can have some sort of leak.
3. Advise clients that never uncover the device to check its internal parts. Only qualified personnel can make repairs.
4. You will notice that the device has one or two thermal sensors, never remove them because they are what prevent overheating of the magnetron and its subsequent destruction, which is very important for the high cost of this device which is usually about the same as a new microwave low quality or cost. The rigor is located at one side of the magnetron, and the other usually at the opposite end. With them is detected temperature level is usually 150 or 170 degrees Celsius.
These sensors are actually switches that open when they detect high temperatures, since they are in series with the line input at the time to reach its nominal value to keep open all the equipment is energized, it resumes normal operation only until they lower their temperature.
Also, remember that the magnetron works with loads ranging from approximately 2.500 to 3.000 volts, therefore, never put your hands near the main transformer when it is in operation, and also try experimenting with a pilot nor a common tester like the one we generally use for it using a small circuit with resistors that can be found easily on the internet or by visiting my web-www.sime.com.uy. Also remember that once disconnected from the network still retains retention of a capacitor that must be downloaded before operate the magnetron. You can also use any electronic device very easy to manufacture for the detection of leaks in the oven you can search the internet or as mentioned before I already look ahead and is on my website that I always say is the easiest way technical help and find everything in one place and free without having to register or pay for help.
