Leadership roles in the workplace

How do you rate it as a leader? If you are a supervisor, you should not allow your personal feelings to control your behavior. It is no mistake that these workers are under your supervision, but deliberately withhold the prizes and other promotions is shameful on your part. This type of action does not make you a good leader.

The role of a leader or manager in the workplace is not an easy one by any standards. Managers have many responsibilities including decision making, planning, delegation, and the organization. A responsibility is difficult to evaluate the performance of its employees. The purpose of the performance evaluation plan is to allow managers to assess the achievements subordinates in the completion of specific tasks required by the organization. Preparation of performance evaluation of an employee is one of the many responsibilities that a manager has to undertake. In most organizations, performance evaluations are usually done on an annual basis. The evaluation plan requires judgments to back up salary increases, promotions, transfers, and sometimes, demotions or terminations of an organization. The main role of a leader is to ensure that organizational goals are realized.

Most managers are uncomfortable performance evaluation, because they do not like to criticize their employees. Moreover, some managers have the skills necessary to manage the performance appraisal interviews. Many managers have to perform these functions and others that are uncomfortable to keep their jobs. When a manager makes an unpopular decision in the workplace, the employee must know that he is just trying to do his job.
