Or Sales Professional Sales Rep - Which One Are You?
After all my years of working in direct sales, the last part of which was devoted to training new and experienced sales consultants for marketing locations around the world, yet it never ceases to amaze me the sheer lack of initial training and Permanent sales that the sales industry as a whole offers what I would class as the backbone of the entire industry.
"And 'the people of Sale"
The sales industry has got to be the only industry in the world where you can earn more than the average surgeon, but you only need to attend a week's sales base and one or two courses of product formation before being classified As a professional sales consultant and unleashed on the public.
Your average doctor on the other hand has to spend many years of study and pass rigorous examinations before they are left free to practice his skills on the public.
What has happened to the word professional in the field of sales?
Read any profession requires years of study.
It does not happen overnight.
Do not think that a career in direct sales is different.
Yes, you can acquire the basic knowledge of product a week or two training sales and get an idea of how to present the product to the public. But if you really want to become a professional sales and make a career spanning sales, you need to continuously study every aspect and the psychology of the entire sales process and keep updated with the latest closing techniques, the skills of people and continuous development and training of new books, videos and seminars that are regularly released and available to help you study your profession.
Even your local doctor, after going through college and get his grades, will again participate in regular seminars throughout the year to keep updated with the latest drugs and surgical techniques that are regularly developing,
So why did I meet so many so-called sales professionals who think they know everything, can not be bothered to attend the last seminar sales training techniques that their company has created for their benefit, but rather sit in the rest room and play cards!
There are always those who live on past sales and are usually asking for a sub at the end of the month so they can pay the rent.
Do not fall into this trap. Get Smart, get training and learn the craft just as it would any other professional.
Do not treat the direct selling as a summer or part-time job.
Treat it as a long-term career, study regularly and try to constantly improve your marketing skills, and I guarantee, industry sales will give you a very good living for as long as you want. And remember. The first thing you learn is that a true professional can never stop learning! ......
