One of the commercial options open to the first time in India or small business owners is to take a franchise. Buying a franchise of an established brand is a good alternative from a new idea from scratch, or could offer a faster way to make an existing business to the next level.

This option offers several advantages - not least of which is an opportunity to stick to a proven model. A well-known brand franchise also offers instant visibility, and most of the rules have to be arranged by the franchisor.

However, you must consider several factors before deciding on a franchise business:

Start with the reason - prioritize your reasons for wanting to get into this business. What do you expect to achieve in terms of return on investment or annual income?
